How Authos is built

Authos separates two layers. A deterministic rules layer maps payer-specific clinical criteria into auditable submission logic — this is the core of the platform today. A clinical-evidence-extraction layer reads the unstructured documents and imaging a specialty's policies depend on, and feeds that evidence into the rules layer. We add the extraction layer wherever a specialty's deciding evidence lives in a scan rather than a structured field; ophthalmology, where we're starting, is the first example.
